Anne Locke can train you to train your horse!

Anne Locke is the riding instructor at Triple Oak Farm. She was raised around the breed and rides and owns walkers today. Anne has a grounded belief in common sense horsemanship, and a passion for helping the rider find their own horse sense.

Anne has students of all age levels and experience. She is a past World Champion and a current High Point National Champion. With her help you can learn to ride for the first time, fix your problem horse, learn the art of Equitation and Showmansip, learn how to properly gait your TWH or tackle other issues or problems you've identified as need areas for improvement.

BIO:
I am a twenty year old college student, with a passion for teaching safely and with common horse sense. I am currently in the Elementary Education Program at Washtenaw Community College and I will be transfering to Eastern Michigan University in the fall of 2009. I have been teaching full time for the past three years but I have been a part of the Tennessee Walking Horse business my entire life.

I have a passion for teaching and I have a passion for the naturally sound Tennessee Walking Horse. I have traveled all over the mid-west attending shows and events that promote this breed, I have tried other breeds and I can from the bottom of my heart tell you that this is the breed for you and Triple Oak Farm is the place, to ride, breed, and learn about horses.

"In my opinion Anne Locke is the best there is. She works here every saturday but she also goes to barns in the area to work with students. She does not train horses she trains people! You will love her."

"Anne Locke has been my instructor at Triple Oak Farms for almost a year now. Without Anne’s expertise and patience I would not have become confident enough to have a horse or two of my own. When I began working with Anne I had no past experience with horses. I was a green broke beginner. Anne taught me to be comfortable around horses, bond with my horse, handle my horse and be in control of my horse. My fear for a long time was so great that I didn’t think I could ever overcome it. With Anne’s help I have lost that fear and have grown to love every moment I have with my horse and being around all the horses at the farm.
I am now preparing for my first horse show. Without Anne I would never have gotten this far. I treasure every lesson I have with Anne and my horse."
