The Triple Oak Farm Story
Generations of horses have come and gone since the founding of Triple Oak Farm, but the underlying philosophy remains the same: matching customers with top quality Tennessee Walking Horses, through breeding, buying, selling and training. Our focus has always been on improving the breed and giving northern breeders the chance to own the best without going too far or spending too much. Along the way, we've won seven Sire of the Year titles, several Dam of the Year awards and numerous other state and regional championships. And we're proud that many of the mares coming to the farm for breeding -- and some stallions among our competitors -- are the offspring of studs we've had at Triple Oak over the years, with names like Mite's Big Man, Delight's Ensignia, Domino Delight, Bum's Magic Delight, Master Jack G. and Dusty Bum. We've also been proud to serve the Walking Horse industry as a northern emissary. Carol Branam has served as the breed's delegate to the Michigan Horse Council for 11 years, as Michigan representative on the Tennessee Walking Horse Breeders and Exhibitors Association for six years and on the Walking Horse Association of Michigan Board of Directors for six years. We've been involved with the Michigan Horse Council's Stallion Expo and the TWHBEA's regional futurity, and we've worked to spread breed awareness with Michigan State University and horse judges from across the state. In 2000, Carol was named Show Judge for the National Walking Horse Association.
In 2001, WHAM honored Carol with the WHAM dedication award and also a
lifetime membership in recognition of her years of effort on behalf of
the cause of Walking Horses in Michigan. Said Carol: "I intend to
keep on helping any way I can with the Walking Horse Association of Michigan
for a long time to come."
